September kept us busy making! Lovely Lucy and her groom Nick wanted a easy, natural feel to their special day at Kunde. Getting married up on Boot Hill overlooking the incredible Fall Vineyards below was breathtaking! The flower of the day was the ever lovely Dahlia! Multi-colored Dahlias served as the base for this rustic, organic inspired wedding with touches of local foliage and berries for texture! Oh, and just a few added gardenias for that perfect scent! Oh what fun! Another lovely garden wedding at Campovida! Working with Jen, Erik and Travis on this rustic but elegant event was a pleasure! From the burlap linens to the tin can vases, everything screamed fresh from the garden! The just picked feeling was created with a variety of wildflower inspired varieties such as zinnias, tulips and stock with garden foliage like olive and amanranth. Red was the pop color and everything else complimented it perfectly! Loved the touch of rosemary on the place setting to add the perfect finishing touch! These tables must have looked yummy with the family style food platters that were to be placed around the centerpieces on amber glass! Nice to work with Travis again, from Events by Travis, his vision and style is apparent throughout this event...and with such a sweet couple, Jen and Erik, Congratulations!

A classic Napian rustic elegant wedding! This beautiful private estate was prepped for this gorgeous celebration by removing part of the vineyard and planting a 12,000 square foot lawn area,with a meandering pathway banked with planted sunflowers and zinnias outlining the reception and cocktail area. Oh another fun event at beautiful Campovida in Hopland! Using orange and green as their main accent colors and the natural garden surroundings as their inspiration, we created floral accents using orange roses, dahlias and tulips with green orchids, bells of Ireland and eurphorbia. The amazing recycled wood tables in the Tuscan garden were perfect! Thanks to Travis from Tour Mendocino Wines for be such an awesome coordinator and person! to work with, and to everyone at Campovida for opening your lovely home and gardens for us all to enjoy! It was a perfect late August weekend in Boonville at Camp Rancheria where Dave and Joanna celebrated their wedding all weekend! Joanna wanted head garlands with herbs and a bouquet that was relaxed and natural like wildflowers. They created wildflowery table vases with flowers we provided and seemed to have a large gathering of friends and family enjoying the festivities! What a lovely day for a lovely couple! I had the pleasure of planning with Sasha's Mother all the extra special details to make this wedding one of my all time favorites! Yellow and green with chocolate accents, with green orchids, yellow "skyline" roses and fern fronds just to add a little fun! Over 100 feet of white dendrobium orchid garlands, creamy yellow rose petals framing the aisle...Oh and those linens from La Tavola were to die for! Thanks to Peter Armstrong for sharing his amazing photos and Annalee for being such a great coordinator to work with...but most of all thanks to Sasha and Scott for letting us be a part of their special day...it was a pleasure!

Look at our beautiful booth at Hiddenbrooke Golf Course last week! It was a Dark and Drizzly day but that did not dampen the fun! Or the many brides/grooms/families that came out to enjoy the evening with all of us! We created two wedding sample sets, one purple garden theme in elegant silver, the other soft and elegant pinks, cremes and green with accents of gold and crystal! It was a lovely evening filled with amazing vendors who clearly, as we do, Love our jobs! Oh and the Cake was amazing!

Beautiful and sweet bride Emily came to Dandelion right before her wedding hoping to create a vibrant display of color for her and her bridesmaids florals. I think we certainly achieved that! By using merlot colored Dahlias to pull in her bridesmaid dresses and vibrant variegated miniature calla lilies to add pop these pictures tell it all. At Dandelion, Our experience and passion for flowers shows in our work and dedication to the craft and the client. We bring genuine enthusiasm to our work, from the initial consultation to the last detail of the set up. We love what we do and it shows!

Here is some information on our design team!

Owner and designer, Dena Watson-Krasts has been working in the floral industry for over 20 years and has designed many large-scale, as well as intimate events. She has worked with a variety of top design studios and shops throughout the years, traveling up the California coast and designing events as far as Washington DC. She holds two bachelors degrees in Fine Arts emphasizing history and design from the University of California at Santa Cruz. Dena founded Dandelion in 2002, creating a floral art studio that holds to her high standards by allowing her to focus solely on individual events and décor.

Designer and Marketing Director, Richard Stuart has been working in the design and floral business for over 25 years. He has worked with some of the most innovative and renowned designers of the time, marking himself among those whose artistic flair has been enjoyed by a variety of celebrities. Richard’s work has appeared on various television shows and in feature films. Since returning to the Bay area, Richard has focused primarily on designing floral décor for high end venues such as Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn and Spa, exclusive special events and intimate gatherings. We are honored to have his talents in planning and design at Dandelion.

Katie was so cute when we met to go over her personal flowers! She says, I do not want too many choices, so only give me a couple pictures to choose from! Gotta love that! With Black and white as her theme we had lots of options but Katie wanted to keep things simple and modern, so green orchids won! Go figure! The bridesmaids had petite solid green orchid bouquets wrapped with black ribbon and green wire accents...very modern and sleek against their dresses! Katie's bouquet was lush and creamy with textures for fall and green orchid accents. What a pleasure working with them on their special day!
